Building on its success in queue management for the restaurant and museum sectors, DuckTheLine has partnered with one of the world’s leading IoT companies, Hik vision, strengthening its impact in logistics.
The areas around logistics sites often face heavy congestion, noise pollution, and increased environmental impact. The absence of an access control system leads to a surge of trucks near the sites, causing long queues. This not only creates a negative environmental impact but also results in significant financial losses due to on-site waiting times—estimated at over €100,000 per year for some operators. Optimizing truck traffic flow therefore becomes a strategic necessity.
A technological partnership
To meet this challenge, DuckTheLine has partnered with Hikvision, a global leader in intelligent technology and IoT hardware since 2001.
This partnership enables automated access control through license plate recognition. Drivers can register in advance, and the system automatically directs them to the correct gate upon arrival. DuckTheLine offers several features, including security protocol signing and real-time reporting of non-compliance issues.
Thanks to the integration of Hikvision’s ANPR cameras, site access is automated through license plate recognition. This significantly reduces waiting times while ensuring real-time tracking of vehicles on site.
A successful deployment
This development strengthens DuckTheLine’s reputation as a reliable solution tailored for demanding environments. The partnership is also part of a strategic collaboration made possible by the successful initial installations of Hikvision equipment.
These companies use DuckTheLine to efficiently manage sensitive operations in warehouses handling petroleum, biofuels, natural gas, and renewable green gases.
